A quiz for know-it-alls haha

As much as I don't 'blog' my emails (just a time or two before at that other place), I thought this was kind of interesting.  And I hate to admit it, I goofed on a few answers.  And go figure, at the end of the email, it said something about Mental Health Day ... guess I need a checkup.  I'm not going to give away the answers just yet.  I want to see if anybody that responds to this is going with me to the clinic hahahahaha

This is a quiz for people who know everything! LOL

These are not trick questions. They are straight questions with straight answers

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only two perennial vegetables?

4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?

5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?

6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters '  dw' and they are all common words. Name two of them.

7. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar. Can you name at least half of them?

8.  Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh.

9. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the letter  'S.'

Some of these are really tough. I figured several out, and now you've piqued my curiosity.

Oh, wait, I was going to look for the answers, and I can't. Ok, I'm going crazy. Pls email me the answers, since I'm not sure when I'll be back on-line and I am very curious.

Here's what I know (or think I know), so far:
1. Not sure. Does Beauty Pageant count? Maybe there's a sport similar to that. Or, maybe it's the marathon or something.
2. No clue. Unless, it's Mt. Rushmore which is probably eroding. Or, maybe Statue of Liberty maybe getting pushed back by the waves/current.
3. No clue.
4. Strawberry?
5. Oh, I've seen this before, and I can't remember. I think that perhaps the pear grows in there while the branch is still attached to the tree. Alternatively it could be put through the bottom of the bottle where the glass is sometimes sealed.
6. Dwarf and dwell.
7. Period, comma, semi-colon, quotation marks, exclamation pt, question mark, apostrophe, brackets, parentheses, dash (I think there are 2 types en and em)
8. No clue
9. Shoes, sneakers, sandals, socks, skis, stockings

Well? Deb didn't do too badly. She might have to go to the clinic with me, but she won't have to stay as long as me !!! hahahaha

1. Boxing or wrestling maybe
2. Niagra falls (because of erosion)
3. Onions, asparagus and Mushrooms grow wild, so I'm guessing two of these.
4. Strawberries
5. Bottle is placed around pear when it is small and it grows inside.
6. dwell, dwarf
7. Full stop, comma, colon, semi-colon, apostrophe mark, hyphen, exclamation mark, question mark, quotation marks.
8. I'm guessing Melon.
9. Shoes, slippers, sandals, socks, skis, skates
